Customer Review Of Camperact's purchase process

Six years, three kids in tow and endless patience from Peter and the team at Camperact finally saw our family take delivery of an incredible Camprite G6 just before Easter.

So why did it take us so long…?

The story started back in 2019 when we approached Peter at the Sydney 4WD & Adventure show seeking a solution for our little family of three. We knew what we were after; light weight, canvas, kitchen, shower, toilet, storage for push bikes and could go anywhere our tow vehicle could tow it. We thought we had found what we wanted fairly quickly and we commenced the process of finalising the spec and just before we acted on the finances our little family went from three to five. So, back to the drawing board we went with the same product desire albeit now with increased numbers to accommodate the team at Camperact started looking at alternatives to what we had settled on originally. Year after year we met and worked through product options as new options came to market. Discussing canvas versus fibreglass hybrid camper trailers, the pros and cons of each and how we felt the product could become a part of our families identity. We were set on canvas because in our opinion canvas is cool for kids. They can get involved with it, help set it up, it’s forgiving and fun to be involved when setup goes horribly wrong and the ‘canvas monster’ traps us all in the trailer; you all laugh together, create memories and enjoy the process of canvas so canvas was a must. Fast forward four years and the kids are now old enough to be involved, this is when we were presented with the incredible Camprite G6. It was exactly what we were after: canvas for the kids to get involved with, kitchen, toilet, shower, storage options for kids bikes and would go anywhere we wanted to go in an incredibly neat thought out package so the deal was done.

Upon arrival to Beresfield, Peter and the team had the mighty G6 ready to roll, we undertook a thorough walk through, setup and pack-down process and we dialled in the brake controller for my trip home. What an incredibly memorable experience this process was. Peter's knowledge of the product and passion for the industry was captivating and this reassured us that we were to be well supported moving forward. Peter’s parting question was, “so, when is your first trip away?” “in two days” I replied with a smile.

Our first trip away was two days after we took delivery (I wasn’t lying to Peter). The kids were pumped to be finally rolling down the highway with our new trailer. Upon arriving at camp the kids were having a blast setting it up, we all were. The G6’s design lends itself perfectly so the kids can setup their own special place within the camper. From the poles that hold it all up to the decorations they placed around their bunks they could now achieve it all. Once tucked in for the night I realised that tonight was the first time our kids got the experience the sounds of the bush as I grew up with. As one of my bucket list items happily ticked itself off in my head the kids were nowhere near sleeping captivated by it all, especially guessing the animal sounds that were just outside our trailer (their imaginations ran wild as to what was out there). This is what made the last 6 years of work and patience from Peter and the Camperact team all worth it.

If you are in the market for a camper please take the time to explore the options that Peter and the Team at Camperact have available. Yes it took us six years, yes we chopped and changed in that time but never once was the team trying to sell us something that wasn’t going to fit our family perfectly.

Thank you from Dave, Anna and the Camprite Kids… (well, that’s what they started calling themselves), it will be fun seeing where this takes us.
