We offer this RCBO with residual voltage In Australia all domestic power circuits that users plug appliances into are required to be protected by an RCD (Residual Current Device). This is to ensure User safety from electrocution should they be using a defective appliance or careless in the use of the appliance.

It is important for Users to realise that while Portable Power Stations, Inverters and Fuel Powered Generators are a convenient source of off grid power the power they produce is not safety protected like normal mains power. This is because they are not earthed like a mains supply. Users may be surprised to know that with these power sources and a normal RCD/RCBO switch or RCD/RCBO Power Board will not work unless a functional earth is established.

Information

  • This board uses innovative Australian designed and patented voltage sensing technology to trigger the RCBO when a fault condition is detected. This technology has been tested and complies with AS/NZS 3100:2017 and AS/NZS 3012 .
  • It has a current Certification of Suitability (CS 10890N) issued by NSW Fair trading.
  • This Power Board can also be used to give another layer of safety to mains supply RCD circuits.
  • All RCD/RCBO’s contain a test switch and they should be tested for correct functionality prior to Users relying on them for protection.

Instructions for Use with Generators Inverters and Portable Power Stations

  1. Always uncoil the lead fully from around the base.
  2. Plug your Power Board into a fixed power point on the Inverter/Generator/Portable Power Station/and turn on.
  3. Lift Clear Lid on side and ensure that the RCBO switch is in the on position
  4. Test the RCBO-RVT Switch for correct operation before each use. With both the RCBO and RVT switches on press the the RVD-VMD “TEST” Button. The RVT-VMD should trip the RCBO switch immediately. If the test is successful rest both switches and your Power Board is ready for use.
  5. If the test fails then do not use and return the Power Board to the seller for repair.

Important Note: Do not plug the power board into and extension lead – always plug an extension lead into the Power Board that way it will ensure that the extension lead is protected

  1. Always uncoil the lead fully from around the base.
  2. Plug your Power Board into a fixed power point on the Inverter/Generator/Portable Power Station/and turn on.
  3. Lift Clear Lid on side and ensure that the RCBO switch is in the on position
  4. Test the RCBO-RVT Switch for correct operation before each use. With both the RCBO and RVT switches on, press the
  5. Test button on the RCBO switch. It should trip immediately to show it is working. Then reset the RCBO switch and
  6. press the the RVD-VMD “TEST” Button. The RVT-VMD should trip the RCBO switch immediately. If both tests are
  7. successful rest both switches and your Power Board is ready for use.
  8. If the tests fail then do not use and return the Power Board to the seller for repair.
